Nassau International Airport to City Center
Nassau International Airport (NAS) lies 10 miles (16k.m.) from downtown Nassau. Taxis are plentiful at Nassau International Airport and offer an economical way to get downtown. Taxis directly to your hotel will take twenty minutes and cost $18-$25. All taxis are metered. Check that the driver activates the meter or confirm the fare before departing the airport. Taxi ranks are located outside of the International Arrivals area. It is unlikely you will need to call for a taxi, but telephones can be found throughout the Nassau International and Domestic Terminals.
Taxis
It is common for hotels to offer guests transfers to and from the airport. Confirm with your hotel before arrival. Hotel representatives will wait in the passenger zone behind the taxi rank. Other modes of transportation from the airport to Nassau include luxurious Town Cars and limousine services. Town Cars can be hired for US$75 (maximum of two persons) and limousines/stretch limousines cost US$90 (maximum of two persons) one way. For airport pick-up, make advanced reservations.

Shopping
Last-minute gifts can be purchased from several gift stores located in the international and domestic departure areas. The stores operate daily between 9a.m. and 8p.m.
Information
For hotel information, tour operators, transit information, and maps a tourist information booth is located between immigration and customs in the international arrivals area. The information booth is operated daily between 8:30am and 12p.m.
Banking
From the International Arrivals area there are signs leading you towards the Royal Bank of Canada. The small office is located between the international arrivals and domestic departures area. Open daily between 8:30a.m. and 3p.m, the Royal Bank can facilitate money transfers, currency exchange and credit card advances.
Luggage Storage
If you need luggage storage, continue past the bank towards the domestic departures area. You will find self-service lockers, accessible 24 hours a day, in the domestic departures lounge.
Car Rental
Several Car Rental offices are located in the International Arrivals area.
